NutriPlay Food-Tag Frenzy Set
It's a race to fill your plate with healthy foods from each food group!
Teach healthy eating with this physical education nutrition game that emphasizes the various food groups and a balanced diet. Teams race to gather the beanbags then place them on their dinner plate mats in the appropriate food group. But watch out! If you’re tagged by a junk food tagger while gathering a beanbag, you must freeze and drop the bag until a healthy food tagger comes to free you.
Simple to Play
Students work together in groups in this relay-style game to gather beanbags and place them in the correct food group on their pats. However, if a junk food tagger tags one of these students, the student must freeze until unfrozen by a healthy food tagger! The first team to fill its plate with the correct amount of servings from each food group wins.
Additional options are available, including varying the movement to gather the beanbags. For example, you might have students skip, jump, or walk backwards, or have “frozen” students do an exercise until a healthy tagger reaches them.
All Inclusive and Made to Last
Included are 120 food beanbags, Food Tag Frenzy mats, Food Tag Frenzy pinnies, a Food Tag Frenzy bag, and activity instructions.
The beanbags are vinyl-covered, which is the most durable beanbag material we have available. Their overlock stick increases the beanbag’s life, allowing them to last for game after game of use. They feature foods from all of the food groups: dairy, grains, fruits, vegetables, and protein.
Mats come in sets of 6, so each team has its own. They are made of vinyl and mimic a dinner plate. The bag is a heavy-duty nylon bag that allows for easy storage and transportation. This is extremely beneficial, considering the amount of bags and other components that come with this game.
