Can you crack the code of this sequencing game?

Logic, deduction, critical thinking, and more are all critically important to cracking the sequential code of Mastermind, and students will need to apply them all to guess the combination in the shortest number of steps. With more than 2,000 possible codes, it’ll be different every time, making for an exciting guessing game each time the board comes out.

How to Play

Students need to guess the secret code in as few attempts as possible. Players take turns being the Codemaker and the Codebreaker.

The Codemaker sets a secret code with different colored pegs, hidden behind a peg shield so the Codebreaker can't see. The Codebreaker then tries to match the code by replicating what they think the code may be using pegs. After each move, the Codemaker gives clues to the Codebreaker about the accuracy of their code sequence using Key Pegs, which signify whether a color is right or wrong, as well as in the right place or the wrong place. Codemakers can make the code even more devious by using multiple pegs of the same color or by leaving 1 or more peg holes empty!

Codebreakers get 20 different tries to guess the code. If they guess it, they get 5 points; if it's not guessed in 20 tries, the Codemaker gets 1 point. Then, players switch roles and start all over!

All of this game's components can be stored in the game board. Includes game console with built-in storage tray and code peg shield, 108 code pegs in 6 colors, 30 key pegs in 2 colors, and complete instructions. For 2 players, ages 8 and up.
